Updating
When a new version of HourBank is available on CodeCanyon, download the new package and update in a few minutes. Your plans, agreements, hours history and settings are kept.
Before you update
- Back up your Perfex database. Your hosting panel or Perfex's own backup tool can do this.
- Read the changelog to see what changed.
Updating
- Download the new package from CodeCanyon and unzip it. Find
hourbank-module.zipinside. - In Perfex, open Setup, Modules.
- Click Deactivate next to HourBank. This keeps all of your data.
- Do not click Uninstall. Uninstalling deletes the data.
- Upload the new
hourbank-module.zipwith Upload module. Perfex replaces the old files. - Click Activate.
When the module starts, HourBank checks which changes the new version needs and applies them automatically, in order. This takes a moment and happens only once. You can then open the dashboard as normal.
If Perfex complains that the module already exists when you upload, deactivate it first, or upload with the file manager by replacing the modules/hourbank folder. Never delete the database tables.
If something looks wrong after updating
- Reload the page with Ctrl+F5, so the browser loads the new style sheets.
- Open the dashboard and look at the health check.
- Contact support (see Support) and say which version you came from.
